Weeklong Personal Retreats: July 24-31, 2022

at Indigo Nature Retreat near Asheville, North Carolina

Personal retreat is a unique opportunity to deepen into the essence of who one is and to touch the heart and soul of life and one’s very purpose for being. For some, this includes engaging in an array of spiritual disciplines; for others, being open to evolving in consciousness and immersing profoundly in solitude in nature can have extraordinary effect. The ultimate retreat practice is to be who one is, alive and in touch with the source of life, listening and responding to the Presence that animates all.

My orientation as a retreat guide is toward wholeness. Fresh experiences of embodiment, emotional healing, clarification of mind, insight into relations, living connection with the natural world, and contact with infinitude and eternal spirit all may have a part to play in one’s retreat. Being in a community setting with others on individual retreat heightens the energy and allows one to feel held in a collective weave of oneness. Together we will align our intentions to ensure that your retreat is one of rejuvenation, inspiration, and homecoming.

Indigo Retreat Center sits at the edge of thousands of acres of Pisgah National Forest land and abounds with rushing creeks, lush greenery, and miles of easy walking trails. It is a tranquil, secluded, and magical place for a soul feeling called to deepen further into its natural being and relation with the sacred.

There are 6 total spaces available for individual retreat over these dates.

Lodging

Indigo offers 5 private retreat cabins, each with its own porch, mini-fridge, sitting area, A/C unit, kettle, fire pit, and more. A communal building a few hundred feet away houses a kitchen and eating area, 2 complete bathrooms, laundry, and a fully-equipped yoga/meditation/practice room.

Retreatants will also use the beautiful main lodge a few yards away, which provides another large kitchen, dining area, and bathroom, plus a spacious and inviting living room, and 1 additional loft bedroom with a private bathroom.

Nourishing vegetarian food will be provided, with dinner cooked by me daily (retreatants will make their own breakfast/lunch).

Check out Indigo and see photos of the cabins, lodge, and grounds. For those with allergies, retreat cabins have been and remain pet-free at all times.

Retreat Atmosphere

Individual retreatants will have the option to share in a silent meditation together with me each day, plus an optional zikr session or two. The retreat atmosphere will be one of silence, with the exception of the rushing creek and meeting times for guidance. Meals may be taken in solitude or together in silence.

I will be offering guidance and holding space for each soul's growth, but will not be replacing any of the functions of one's current spiritual guide. He/she is welcome to offer additional practices for your retreat.

Cost

The total cost for this retreat is $1950, which includes 7 night's lodging, all food, and guidance. Scholarships are available.

Indigo is a very high-quality, beautiful, and amazingly-located center, uniquely suited for private retreat in nature, however what makes it special also makes the nightly rental cost higher.

If you feel deeply called to this retreat, please do not let finances be a barrier; be in touch and we will work something out. Alternatively, if you wish to contribute to a scholarship fund so that others may be helped to attend, that is always most welcome.

Logistics

Asheville is the nearest airport (35-45 min away) and is serviced by several airlines, with Allegiant being the most inexpensive. The largest connecting hub is Charlotte, NC (2 hours away).

We will check in to the retreat center Sunday afternoon July 24th and check out by noon on Sunday July 31st.

Airport transit can be arranged; please factor in a possible $40-80 for shuttles or shared rides.

I can help you arrange additional lodging if you wish to arrive early or stay on after the retreat; extra days are not included in the retreat cost.

July weather in the mountains of NC is delightful, green, often sunny 70s/80s, with invigorating, clear air. Indigo has several great spots for a dip in the creek.

Registration

To reserve your space in this retreat, please contact me and submit your deposit of $500 to confirm your place. Balance is due at the time of the retreat. $350 of the deposit is non-refundable.

Cost is the same for all retreat accommodations. There are 5 retreat cabins, plus 1 loft bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom located in the main house. The bedroom does not have a door separating it from the living room below, but it is a private, spacious, and beautiful accommodation, providing access to the entire lodge. (*Please note: the king loft room has now been booked by a retreatant.)

Please feel free to be in touch with any questions, to discuss your potential retreat aims, or to inquire about scholarships.
